TP4Web brings your Treepad data to a webserver

This can be a webserver on your LAN - or on the internet.

No need to install and configure a webserver

No need to install Java, Pearl, ODBC etc.

No .NET framework is needed

No Java-runtime is needed

No registrykey changed

With TP4Web you can easily publish the content of your Treepad-Database so that the data becomes searchable for any user.

Share your Treepad database with as many users as you wish accross a LAN or the Internet

Use a webbrowser to search the database

TP4Web consists of 2 components:

Server component : This is basically a webserver and the data of a Treepad database

The database must be exported from Treepad to a .HTMHJT file - see how to do this here

After export, you should copy the .HTMHJT and .TPZ files to a folder on the machine that is your TP4Web Server

Then this .HTMHJT file must be imported into TP4Web - see how to do this here

Client component : This is a small application that connects to the server component and displays your search-results. Alternativly you can use a webbrowser.

Special features of TP4Web:

1. "mark hits in text"

Search hits are marked in the text, see screenshot below:

This will allow you to see immediately the context of your search hits while scrolling the text.

2. "go to hit"

You can jump\scroll to each search hit's position in the article:

e.g scroll to the position where "ark" was found :

This will allow you to jump to each of your search hits without the need to scroll down the whole text.

(The column "Artikelname" contains the original Treepad's nodename, so usually you would see in this column some meaningful text)

TP4Web runs under Windows from XP to Win2008

Demo: Download the TP4Web Client component only and connect it to our demo-database.

Our demo database contains the english text of the bible so you can search for words like Noah, Ark, Jesus etc. etc.

Test all client features using a live TP4Web server on the internet.

Or access the demo-database using your webbrowser. Using the webbrowser you have less features but therefore it is without any client-installation.
